Mason Kumon Math & Reading Center Instructors: Dr. Manouchehr Ghamsari, and Mrs Mahvash Banisalam We opened the Mason Kumon Center at the Mason United Methodist Church in October of 1999 with 20 students. We started Kumon as a family business, at that time Mahvash was the only instructor, she had three helpers, Mitra and Nima, our children, and Manouchehr. The Center has grown to over 250 subjects in 11 years, with two certified instructors, Dr. Manouchehr Ghamsari, and Mrs Mahvash Banisalam. We have been fortunate to have capable assistants who enjoy working with children and helping us implement Kumon method. Student helpers have always been valuable addition to our center; they are selected individuals who graduated from our Center or reached an advanced level in the program. There are many reasons for our accomplishments. We fully believe in Kumon method, an independent individualized learning method aiming to unleash the potential in every child. Our instructors know each student fully, and have a clear plan for her/him. Parental participation is another key to students’ progress. We work as a team with our Kumon families and have a passion for what we are doing.
